The short version of what Pavo is and where it fits.
What is Pavo?
Pavo is a voice-controlled workspace for dictation, meeting recording, notes, tasks, calendar, AI scheduling, and booking links on desktop and mobile.
Who is Pavo for?
Pavo is for people whose work moves between conversations, ideas, tasks, and follow-through — especially when stopping to reach for a keyboard slows down the moment.
Is Pavo a dictation app, task manager, calendar, or meeting recorder?
It is one connected workspace that includes all of those jobs. The useful difference is what happens after capture: your words can become a note, task, calendar action, meeting record, or booking flow.
What can I control with my voice?
You can dictate, write notes, create and update tasks, capture meetings, ask Pavo questions, and move work toward your calendar. Some actions can also be done manually when that is faster.
Voice capture
Dictation that can continue into the work after the words.
How does dictation work in Pavo?
Press once and speak naturally. Pavo turns your speech into clean text, then lets you keep moving into a note, task, meeting record, or calendar action.
Can I dictate into other apps?
On desktop, Pavo can act as a voice input layer while you work in the app already in front of you. Speak, let Pavo clean up the text, and return to the surface where you were working.
Does Pavo clean up and format my dictation?
Yes. Pavo turns natural speech into readable text while preserving the facts and intent you actually said. You stay in control of what gets kept or changed.
Does Pavo replace typing completely?
No. Pavo is designed to make voice the fastest input for the moments that move quickly. You can still edit, browse, drag, schedule, and manage details manually when that is the right tool.
Notes
Capture, clean up, and organize the thinking you want to keep.
Can I create notes by voice?
Yes. Tell Pavo what to write and it turns the thought into a clean, readable note. You can capture a quick idea, a longer reflection, or a note from a conversation.
How are notes organized?
Notes can be kept in an organized hierarchy with folders and subfolders, so quick captures do not have to stay as one undifferentiated stream.
Will Pavo change the meaning of my notes?
Pavo can clean up and format your words, but the goal is to preserve the facts, decisions, and intent you actually expressed rather than inventing a more polished version of the thought.
Can I find or work with a note after I create it?
Yes. Notes live alongside the rest of your Pavo workspace, so you can return to them, ask Pavo about them, and use their content as context for tasks, meetings, or calendar work.
Tasks + Focal
Turn spoken intentions into lists, subtasks, and follow-through.
Can I create tasks by voice and manually?
Yes. Say what needs doing and Pavo can create the task, or add it manually when you already know the exact details. You can update, prioritize, and complete tasks either way.
Does Pavo support task lists and subtasks?
Yes. Tasks can live in lists with nested subtasks, so a spoken intention can become a structured project rather than one flat reminder.
What is the Focal integration?
Focal integration keeps Pavo tasks connected to Focal, so you can use voice capture in Pavo while keeping task work connected to the rest of your Focal workflow.
Can I update and prioritize tasks by voice?
Yes. Use your voice to create a task, change what it says, add context, move its priority, or keep the next action moving without rebuilding the task by hand.
Calendar + scheduling
Put tasks where time happens, manually or with AI.
Can I see my tasks on the calendar?
Yes. Pavo brings tasks and calendar events into the same view, so the list shows up alongside the time available to actually do the work.
Can I schedule tasks manually?
Yes. Drag or place a task on the day and time where you know it belongs. Manual scheduling stays available when you want to make the call yourself.
How does AI auto-scheduling work?
Choose the tasks you want to move forward and Pavo can place them around your existing calendar commitments, using the time you actually have instead of asking you to plan the week from scratch.
What happens when my schedule changes?
You can move tasks yourself, or ask Pavo to help find a workable placement around the commitments that changed. Tasks and calendar blocks stay connected as the plan moves.
Does Pavo work with connected calendars?
Yes. Calendar connections provide the commitments Pavo needs to show your day, place tasks around existing events, and make scheduling links useful.
Meetings
Record conversations and return to decisions, summaries, and actions.
How do I record a meeting in Pavo?
Start a meeting capture manually from the app. Pavo can capture the conversation, return a transcript, and organize the useful decisions and actions afterward.
Can Pavo record an online meeting?
Yes. Pavo can capture online meetings through the desktop app, including the audio needed to return to a transcript, summary, speakers, decisions, and action items.
What do I get after a meeting?
Pavo gives you a meeting record with a transcript and useful follow-through such as a summary, speakers, decisions, and action items — so the conversation does not disappear when the call ends.
Can I start a meeting from mobile?
Yes. The mobile app can start and capture a meeting when the moment happens away from your desk. The record can then become part of the same workspace you use on desktop.
Booking + Maker / Manager
Share availability while protecting the kind of time you need.
What are Pavo booking links?
Booking links let you share your availability so someone can choose a time without another scheduling thread. The link uses the rules and calendar context you define.
Can I set my own booking availability?
Yes. Define the windows people can book, connect the calendars that matter, and share a link that finds a workable time without exposing every detail of your day.
What is Maker / Manager mode?
Maker / Manager mode lets you define when you make and when you meet. Focus blocks can stay protected while manager windows remain open for conversations and incoming work.
Do booking links respect my Maker / Manager schedule?
Yes. Maker / Manager rules work with your calendar and booking links, so external availability can protect maker time and steer new meetings into the manager windows you choose.
Offline + AI
Choose when core capture keeps working without a connection.
Does Pavo work offline?
Pavo can keep core voice, notes, and meeting flows available offline when you choose on-device models. Offline capability is a product feature for moments when a connection is unavailable or undesirable.
What can I do offline?
Core capture can continue offline, including voice input, notes, and meeting flows supported by the on-device path. Cloud services and connected calendar actions are available when you reconnect or choose the cloud path.
Are cloud options still available?
Yes. Pavo supports cloud options when they make the workspace more useful. Offline and on-device models are an available path, not a requirement for every user or every workflow.
Does offline mode improve privacy?
It can. Privacy is a natural consequence of choosing on-device models, but the primary reason to use offline mode is that core work can keep moving without depending on a connection.
Apps + getting started
Where Pavo runs and how the surfaces work together.
Which platforms does Pavo support?
Pavo has apps for Mac, Windows, iPhone, and Android. Desktop provides the full connected workspace, while mobile gives you a fast surface for capture, checking your day, meetings, notes, and tasks.
What is the difference between the desktop and mobile apps?
Desktop is the home base for the full workspace: notes, meetings, tasks, calendar, scheduling, and connected context. Mobile is built for the moments in between, when you want to capture, ask, check, or start a meeting without opening a laptop.
Can I move between desktop and mobile?
Yes. Pavo is designed as one workspace across both surfaces. Capture where the moment happens, then continue wherever the work needs you.
Where can I download Pavo?
Visit the Apps page to choose the Mac, Windows, iPhone, or Android app and follow the download link for your platform.
